New Hampshire Real Estate - Switzerland Of America
By Raynor James, Fri Dec 9th

With soaring mountain ranges, New Hampshire is often called theSwitzerland of America. Fortunately, New Hampshire real estateprices compare favorably to Switzerland.

New Hampshire

New Hampshire is a state with beautiful scenery that takes onthe full effect of each season of the year. Spring and summerare tailor made for fishing, hiking and water sports along thestate coastline. Fall is an explosion of color as the leavesturn, while winter is the time to hit the

slopes. The overallcontour of the state is mountainous in the north; fields, lakesand forest in the central area; and little villages and beachresorts on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. It is hard tobelieve such a small state could contain so many things to dothroughout the year.

Portsmouth

Located on the coast, Portsmouth is a classic New England townwith a bevy of colonial architecture and charm. PortsmouthHarbor looks like something out of a post card with red brickbuildings and colonial white churches crowding the water. Thecity has two dominant charms of note. First, it appears asthough it hasn't grown in size much over the last hundred years.Second, this is truly a city with a small town feel. People arefriendly and it is great place to raise a family if you canafford it.

Hanover

Located just across the border from Vermont, Hanover is home toDartmouth College. A fairly isolated location, Hanover is greatlittle town in which a college atmosphere battles withtraditional northeast influences. Red brick buildings dot thetown and there is something very impressive about walkingthrough Dartmouth. You simply get the feeling this is what acollege should feel like. The best way to investigate Hanover isto visit and stay in one of the bed & breakfast homes.

New Hampshire Real Estate

New Hampshire real estate is generally not as expensive as youmight think. A single-family home in Portsmouth will set youback $340,000 while the same home in Hanover will cost nearly$500,000. While not exactly inexpensive, the prices arereasonable when compared to New York and surrounding areas. In2005, New Hampshire real estate appreciated at a solid 12.5percent.

Missoula, Montana Flat Fee MLS
Residents of Western Montana aggressively look for cost-savings in the sale of their homes. Because of the obvious appeal of the area, the presence of the University of Montana, thriving arts and cultural scene and dramatic scenery, the Garden City has been growing for some time. Putting aside the national credit market meltdown which began in 2007, Missoula real estate seemed to be for some time selling itself, and the steep fees associated with selling it did not seem to make sense for many sellers. How Home Sellers Avoid the Credit Crunch
